Brand alone is not enough
A manufacturer can use several filter families across its refrigerator line. Models from the same brand may differ by door layout, dispenser system, filter location, or production generation. Knowing only the brand narrows the search, but it does not confirm the part.
Appearance can be misleading
Replacement filters often share a similar shape or color. That does not prove that the connector, housing, or filtration system is the same. A filter that slides into place may still be the wrong part for the appliance.
Suffixes can carry useful information
Letters at the end of a model number can identify a finish, market version, or configuration. Enter the complete code exactly as it appears on the product label. Do not remove internal characters or replace the model with a nearby serial number.
Use a model-specific record
FitsMyModel searches exact model matches. For verified public records, the result shows the appliance model, compatible OEM part, manufacturer source, and last verified date. If your model is not listed, request it instead of selecting a similar model.
For help locating the code, read how to find a refrigerator model number, then return to the model search.
